Lakehead University Presidential Scholarship
The Lakehead University Presidential Scholarship is the pinnacle of academic honors and support offered by the university. This prestigious award, which is intended for exceptional students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership potential, and community involvement, embodies Lakehead University’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering success.
Benefits of the Lakehead University Presidential Scholarship
For a maximum of four years or until they earn their first degree, whichever comes first, the Lakehead University Presidential Scholarship winner may keep it. You will get an upgraded scholarship of $2,500 annually for the remaining scholarship term, provided that your academic average at university falls between 80.0% and 84.9%. If you finish 80% but not 100% of the required courses for your program and year level, the value of your scholarship will be prorated.
International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships
Non-Canadian citizens who are starting at Lakehead University directly out of high school or who are transferring from an international college or university are eligible to apply for the Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships. The prize is available to Lakehead University’s top international candidates in 2025–2026.
International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships Benefits
The maximum value of the scholarship is $10,000/year ($40,000 for 4 years in total).

International Graduate Scholarships
A variety of scholarships, bursaries, and awards are available to Lakehead University graduate students. International Graduate Scholarships come in two varieties:
I. Graduate Assistantships
Posts for Graduate Assistants, which pay $10,506.69 for Master’s level employment and $11,457.79 for Doctoral levels, may be open to some full-time graduate students, including those on visas. Up to 270 hours of labor, or an average of no more than 10 hours per week, can be produced by a regular appointment during the Fall and Winter terms.
II. Faculty Research Awards for Graduate Students
Some graduate students may additionally receive a Faculty Research Award. This stipend may be awarded to a full-time degree applicant for research or academic endeavors related to and related to their field or fields of study within the academic program. Students’ advisors present awards for faculty research.
International Entrance Scholarships & International Visionary Award
Non-Canadian nationals who transfer from foreign colleges or universities or enroll at Lakehead-Georgian after high school will be considered for undergraduate entrance scholarships. The scholarship is available to the top international applicants to Lakehead-Georgian.
Benefits
In addition to the entrance grants, which are given out on the basis of academic merit, international Lakehead-Georgian students starting in the fall of 2025 are eligible for the $4,000 International Visionary Award:
“Ten Thousand Times Four Years.” renewable as long as the average for each academic year is 90.0%. If a student’s university academic average falls between 80.0 and 89.9%, they will get an adjusted scholarship worth $7,500 CAD annually for the remaining scholarship term.
“7,500 times four years.” Renewable as long as the average for each academic year is at least 80%.
